We believe in data minimization. The Vote A or B widget is designed to collect deterministic polling data without compromising end-user privacy.

1. Data We Collect

When a user interacts with a widget, we collect:

• The vote cast (A or B).
• A cryptographic hash of the IP address and User-Agent string (used solely for deduplication and bot mitigation, never stored in plain text).
• The timestamp of the vote.
• The referring URL.

2. Cookies and Local Storage

We do not use tracking cookies. We utilize browser localStorage strictly to remember if a user has already voted on a specific poll, ensuring they see the results view upon return rather than the voting interface. This data never leaves the user's device.

3. Data Ownership

If you implement the Vote A or B widget on your site, you own the resulting aggregate data. You may export it via our API at any time.
